The Department of Interventional Radiology is a rapidly evolving medical specialty that offers innovative minimally invasive treatment options for patients who were traditionally deemed not surgical candidates. Our board certified Interventional Radiologists here at Wyckoff utilize state of the art equipment to perform procedures in our brand new GE Angiography suite. Using fluoroscopy, as well as other imaging modalities, including US and CT, they navigate small devices such as catheters (tubes) down the arteries and veins of the body in order to treat various disorders across all organ systems. Our Interventional Radiologists are clinical specialists who are also well versed in Diagnostic Radiology. They strongly adhere to best practice principles, including evidence based medicine and following Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) guidelines.

Dr. George Bolotin is the Director of Interventional Radiology at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center.

Dr. Bolotin has graduated from St. George’s University School of Medicine. He completed his Surgical Internship in Mount Sinai Hospital and Diagnostic Radiology residency in Albany Medical Center. He went on to complete his subspecialty fellowship training in Vascular and Interventional Radiology in Indiana University.

He leads a team of highly skilled Interventional Specialists. The Department of IR will continue to expand the range of services we are offering towards the betterment of our patients. These procedures include image guided biopsies and interventions related to hepatobiliary, gastrointestinal, oncologic, and vascular disorders. The field of Interventional Radiology is rapidly evolving and now offers treatment options for many patients who were traditionally deemed not surgical candidates.

Dr. Bolotin has particularly strong interests in woman’s health. He specializes in the outpatient, minimally invasive treatment of symptomatic Uterine Fibroids. He frequently performs these procedures through a tiny incision in the wrist and patients are discharged home on the same day. He also specializes in the minimally invasive treatment of varicose vein disease utilizing the Endovenous Laser Ablation Therapy (EVLT). For patients with symptomatic osteoporotic compression fractures he offers the kyphoplasty procedure.
